Well that was a darn good night. A friend suggested going to see Umbra Moon who was also wonderfully supported by 2 other acts, Remy and Ishan..
I didn't know this bandroom existed and I'm 10 minnies away, but it was bloody good craic. Felt intimate, was fun and just great to support local music!
Staff were great. Busy and still friendly. Post gig, ended up dancing away in the bar area.
Unfortunately, it was a zip free event heh heh, but I'm sure he gave no woofs about it as he has to get through 4kg of treats.
Food is yummy.
Drinks are well priced.
Venue section is nice and small for an intimate gig. Seen metal shows, comedy shows and love podcasts here.
Floor in the band room can get rather sticky but expected when there is carpet in a bar area.
Service was great! Drink options are also great, decor also was really cool. We’ll be coming here for gigs next, however, I don’t review anything less than 5 stars very often but we came in for steak night and although steaks were cooked to our liking, it had an odd aftertaste and was honestly a bit disappointing which we didn’t really expect. Overall, everything else was great and I highly recommend this place. (:
I’ve always enjoyed coming here for the crowds & their food, apart from having a wine or two. This pub is strategically located right next to a tram stop on Church Street too. And we had chicken parma & steak (pepper sauce) in addition to the buffalo wings.
Band area smelt like raisins but green room didn't. Very good venue for small acts as was easily cluttered. Mum said I sounded better in the recording than here but probably because my voice. Food menu was a little tricky to find as we stood around the bar area reading all the chalkboards until someone who was also apart of the entertainment pointed it out to us, probably from her own lost experience. I liked the garlic bread but was slightly too toasted to my specific liking.
Great meals & good selection of beers on tap. Went to watch The Last Martyr in the band room, the sound was good until the the they came on, good band but the sound was stuffed up on them.
Amazing trendy spot built in the image of old. I was here last Friday playing a show with my band and was amazed with the story, vibe, crowd, band room, and bar!! The staff are so friendly and kind you'll no dowbt have a blast. I had to take a star off because my wallet didn't much appreciate the $14 pint but other than that come down, watch a new local band and get some beers in ya!! I assure you you'll have a good one.

Great place for well priced drinks and a grungy feel of old pubs. Pool table and a plentiful menu. Good place to drop in for a beer.
